JCI Luxembourg is organizing an “How to create amazing slideshow presentations” training in cooperation with The Impactory, free for members of both organizations. Junior Chamber International (JCI), with about 200,000 members in 110 countries, is one of the worlds leading networks of young active citizens between the ages of 18 to 40 with the aim and purpose of creating positive change in their communities & worldwide. Slideshow presentations became one of the most common typical vehicles of communication of the 21st century. Whether in business or leisure, Powerpoint is now part of the bread and butter of our expected IT skills. Everyone thinks himself as a good slideshow creator but the distance between creating an average presentation and creating one with impact and content  is much greater than one could think. There are good and bad presenters but the same applies to the way the information is shown and shared.

This training will walk you through the very basics of creating good slideshow presentations. From the concept to the creation, you will learn the best ways to display the information, the flow and pace of a good slideshow, the coloring and font rules, the usual pitfalls and mistakes, how to simplify complex slides and many other tips & tricks that will help you to create simpler and more effective slideshow presentations.

Trainer: Artur Queiroz – I am an IT professional currently working at the European Commission, and a passionate both for communication and organization. During my professional career as an IT project manager I learned the importance of conveying clear and organized messages as the difference between success and failure. I also have experience in the quality and human resources areas, which further helped me to strengthen the importance of soft and hard skills in the context of human communications. I’m willing to share my professional knowledge in a very interactive and interesting training.

In JCI I was the winner of the 2010 JCI Public Speaking and Debating Academy (PSDA) and the COC Director of the 2012 edition.
