Community Lunch
Every first Friday of the month, we share a table, food and conversations.
Bring one ingredient or a small dish to share with everyone and have good talks with great people! The salad lunch is an informal way to get together and get to know each other better. It’s also a fun metaphor of collaboration: each ingredient brought by each person tastes better when mixed up together.

Isabel Page invites you to experience Theory U: shifting the inner place from which leadership of ourselves and others happens.
Fundamental problems, as Einstein once noted, cannot be solved at the same level of thought that created them. Learning to pay attention to our attention allows us to illuminate our blind spots and helps us to lead from the future as it emerges. According to Scharmer, this is the key leverage point for embedding much-needed profound systemic changes in business, society and in science.
This “U” methodology of leading profound change invites you on an exciting and unique personal and professional journey. You will experience new levels of thought and action from within that allow you to participate, to co-create and to bring forth the future.

About Isabel
As a former associate lecturer on human resource management for the Open University Business School UK’s MBA and MSc program, it has been Isabel’s privilege to exchange with many mature students engaged in highly challenging leadership roles for global organisations. This experience, together with her role in executive coaching and organisational development for diverse public and private global organisations such as Fidelity Investments, the European Investment Bank, the EU Court of Justice and Henri Tudor, has convinced Isabel of the need for deep change in the practice of leadership and management. Introduced to Otto Scharmer’s work at MIT through the director of Centro Ecológico, Akumal during a voluntary consulting partnership in Mexico, Isabel has been engaged since 2010 in virtual learning with Otto through the Presencing Institute and personally in Paris and Boston.
Join us at The Impactory for a seminar/workshop with Dot Bekker (www.thedoteffect.com) about Building your Business Online. Practical and useful information from the bottom up will answer your questions about:
- Why does my business need to be online?
- What will work best for me, my business and my customer?
- Is my website WORKING for my business or is it a liability?
- How do I manage the maze of social media?
There will also be a short workshop/casestudy followed by a Q&A session to close.
We’re very excited to offer a workshop with Sylvain Cottong who has years of experience in these subjects and giving workshops about them. Normally a half-day workshop with him costs far more than the pricing we set jointly with Sylvain.
We’re handing over the power to you here and use sort of crowdfunding approach. You pick which of the three workshops will be given on the date. In order to be able to go ahead with the workshop we need a minimum of 15 participants. Each workshop has two time slot options: 9-12 in the morning or 18-21 in the evening. The date is the same: 26 June 2013.
Here’s how it works:
- You pick the most interesting workshop(s) and register for that at the bottom of this page.
- We close registration when one of the workshops has 15 registrants (early registration is recommended!).
- As soon as the crowd has spoken and made the choice, we will confirm which workshop is given. Or maybe we should say workshops. If we get one workshop filled for the morning slot we can run a second in the evening slot, or vice versa.
- We will send you an invoice for the workshop as soon as we know which workshop wins, so please treat your registration as binding.
Now it’s up to you, read the descriptions below and pick the one that wakes your interest.
Design thinking & Service design
What is design thinking ? How is design thinking used today to guide innovation processes in business and in public services as well as social innovation ?
Service design as a discipline is an application of design thinking. The workshop will also explain what service design is, what the tools and methods are and give some real world examples. The workshop will also address the related concepts of service innovation, service-dominant logic in marketing as well as “experience is the new product”.
What is the difference between outbound marketing and inbound marketing and why is the latter so important nowadays ? What are the constituents of an inbound marketing strategy (Content, Social Media, SEO) ? How to organize your inbound marketing activities so that you can handle them ? Which tools to use ? What is the relation of inbound marketing and new trends like marketing automation ?
The workshop will give an overview of the concepts of inbound marketing and shows some real world examples.
Innovation is a process that needs to be managed like other buisness process as well.
The workshop will address questions like: What is innovation ? What are the different innovation management modes and models (including open innovation) ? What are the constituents of an innovation management strategy ? What’s the relationship between innovation and organizational culture, leadership & collaboration ? What are possible barriers to innovation ? What tools to use and what processes to put in place to organize and manage an innovation process and the generated ides?

We’re very excited to offer a workshop in collaboration with FAST, a leading training institution in Luxembourg.
FAST has over 13 years of experience in providing high value training and giving workshops. We’re handing over the power to you here and use sort of crowdfunding approach (and a very discounted GROUPON-style price). You pick which of the three workshops will be given on the date of 28/06/2013, 9-12 in the morning.
