Intro to Web Development  for Women
Saturday November 30th, 10:30m till 6:30pm
This workshop is organised as part of “Europe Code Week”.

During this workshop you will learn:

1.The basics of programming with PHP
You’ll be able to :
Create a simple model like a credit, a business model, some string manipulation. A bit like what you do within Excel if you are an advanced user.

2. How to make a small web app that would enable data storage and retrieval
You’ll be able to:
Making a blog, a guestbook, some kind of simple reservation or management system.

3. Basic algorithmic (if times allows)
You’ll be able to:
Better understand how software work and its logic

The workshop is taught & organised by volunteers and Impactory members. The Impactory, as a sponsor to EuCodeWeek, will provide the space for the workshop.

Please note that you will need to bring your own laptop & download specific software before attending the workshop. Further instructions will be e-mailed after registration.

The workshop will be taught by Fräntz Miccoli. Frantz is passionate about the world of web and innovation. He graduated from Grenoble Ecole de Management and EISTI in France. He is currently COO of MyScienceWork, a social network and search engine for the scientific community. Previously Frantz was involved in numerous projects such as KenaGard, a software company and Izzijob, a website dedicated to employment.

Please note that this workshop is limited to 12 participants.
