The building blocks of the Web – what everyone should know about the Internet but no one took time to explain it to you in a simple way.
Have you ever came across the following terms: IP address or TCP protocol, port numbers, domain names, network devices and their roles, types of access networks?
These are building blocks of the Web that makes online communication possible
and which you find in your daily use of online tools.
After attending this course apart from understanding following concepts you will also understand interactions between: the principles and functions of the TCP/IP protocol stack, Internet addresses and port numbers, domain names, network devices and their roles, different types of access networks that we use every day.
The classes will be given by Jakub Jakubiak, who used to give computer networking courses and lab classes while holding a researcher position with the Networks and Protocols Group in Tampere University of Technology.
